Full time Linux Administrator who will install, configure and maintain the company’s server and network equipments.
MANDATORY Requirements:3+ years of experience administering Linux and WindowsBuild, deploy & administer Linux based DNS, DHCP, NFS, NIS, NTP, LVM, FTP, TFTPServers, Firewalls, Apache based Web Servers & Samba services.Build, deploy & administer Linux based laptops & desktopsHands on experience in setting up and manage EDA tools like Cadence, Mentor, Graphics, Tina etcCompetency in writing scriptsExposure to Nagios, Netcool or similar monitoring tools.Experience with network monitoring, WAN/LAN/VPN configurations and troubleshooting network problemsDesign, deploy & manage multiple physical networks and routing between the networks using L3 switches, L2 switches & routersMinimum of 3+ year’s computer hardware experience with strong background in desktop support, supporting Windows 2003/XP/Vista/7 desktop operating systemsAssemble & maintain desktops. Upgrade/replace spares like RAM, HDD, FDD & Power SuppliesInventory managements of company’s hardware and softwareUnderstand Engineering requirements and come with custom solutions for specific network requests & OS installationsExperience in negotiating with vendors for hardware, software and AMC requirementsStrong people skills, customer service attitude and ability to work well with others in the corporate officeAbility to be flexible and work with a fast paced and dynamic organizationStrong communication, documentation, and presentation skillsWilling to learn and adapt to new technologies like VOIP, Audio-Video etc.Periodic weekends and after hour support is required for upgrades and maintenanceADDITIONAL Requirements:Experience with Windows 2003 Active Directory, LDAP, or other X.500 directory servicesFamiliarity with and knowledge of common open source products will be preferredKnowledge of developer tools like Bugzilla, CVS, SVN is a plus.
